Final Invoice Issued

Final invoice issued today and sent off for payment... Feels great!

(Hopefully we have no issues with the bank!)

The Race is ON - 15 Days and counting...

So, we had our first walkthrough on Friday with our supervisor... we compiled a nice long list and 'fix its' and have signed off on it including a clause stating '15 working days for these to be completed'... which takes them right up until Christmas! *holding breath* .... stay tuned as we hope it all falls into place!

Mirror Splashback...

Woohoo!

Our kitchen is almost complete (less appliances and a floor!), I am so very happy with how it looks and thought you would all like to see a pretty picture of the mirror splashback...

The Little Things... So close yet so far...

Ok, so we have a nice long list of little things to be fixed and a shorter list of what's left to be done... the less there is to do, the more there is to fix... so we're not quite sure how long we have left... 


So, here's some things that HAVE happened..

What a nice surprise we got this afternoon! The painters have been busy, the electrician has been in and installed all the bayonet fittings (we'll be doing downlights later), powerpoints are in, showerscreens and mirrors are installed and... we're alot closer than we though we would be by the end of this week! Woohoo!

Caoba Garage Door!

Our garage door was installed at the end of last week.. it's beautiful - we love it!
In theory, our front door stain should match the door.. :)


Things are rolling along, some more tiling has been done, mostly bits and pieces that need to be either fixed or finished before painting.. so it seems we are on stand by waiting until painting starts....

Another surprise! 
Welcoming the newest addition to our house - our lovely Buttermilk Caesarstone bench top.

What a week!

All I have to say is... 

WOW.

I am absolutely blown away by how much work has gone on in the past week.

Last week our insulation and gyprock was done. 

Then there was this week:

Monday - Staircase & Steps were installed

Tuesday - Cornice done

Wednesday - Wet areas waterproofed

Thursday - Locked out - external doors installed. Internal doors & architraves delivered. 

I visited this morning to find a carpenter working, with most of our internal doors, skirting and architraves installed and when I left about 11.15am - he was still working!

So here is our week in pictures...

We replaced an infill panel above our front door with a window.
