The Story of Our House: Frame Finished

Things are moving so quickly at the moment I can't keep up... I'm helping out in another position at work at the moment and with 6.30am starts and 5pm finishes, visits to the house, uni assessments and trying to sleep - I'm knackered and seem to miss out on getting the photos on the computer!

In the past two weeks, we have had our frame go up, plumbing and gas put in, windows and sliding door installed, bricks started and we think the guy has been to measure up our staircase. That's ALOT of activity.

We noticed a whoopsie, that the plumber hadn't checked the plans and put in plumbing for wall mounted shower heads not our ceiling mounted ones, and missed the plumbing for the fridge - but all that is fixed now, nice and promptly. We had an inspection with our supervisor who is a great guy, very easy to talk to - and it seems as though when the plans were drawn, everything to do with our '800mm split' was proportionally adjusted, except for the doorway (which shall be adjusted!) where the steps will be to walk into the back of the house from the front lounge, sorry - GIANT room. That room is ALOT bigger than I thought, and I'm starting to refer to the garage as a warehouse! Might even be able to put in some kind of mezzanine floor in the roof of the garage to use for storage.

So far, we are very impressed with the constant activity, our bricking is expected to take 3 weeks. We also have our tile appointment in June!
